Details: Katong's Touch is a publication that reflects the nature of the town Tanjong Katong. The town at its core is a highly textural and tactile town, but how can texture be reflected without being literal? This publication explores the idea of non-literal texture and defines texture as a variation of depths that is not only seen but also subconsciously felt. The interplay of positive and negative space paired with a seemingly non linear experience of reading the publication demands effort and attention from the reader. This resistance creates subconscious texture akin to running your fingers against a brick wall or a piece of fabric.
